Color therapy: resources

 Red color represents energy, fire, ignition, stimulation, vitality, anger, internal energy, ambition. Red color stimulates brain wave activity, increases heart rate, respirations and blood pressure.
 Green color has a sedative, cooling, and calming effect. It calms the mind and the body, eases the spirit. It helps to relieve depression, anxiety, nervousness.
 Blue has a calming effect, and brings in peace from deep inside. Blue color has anti-bacterial effect and relives headaches, facilitates restful sleep, and relieves pain.
 Orange color brings joy and happiness. It is associated with warmth, creativity and sensuality. Orange color is good for reliving depression, and to make the body relax.
 Black is a protective color. It is grounding and calming, to extremely sensitive individuals. Black promotes self-confidence, power, and strength.
 Yellow color represents metal activity and learning. It represents mental awakening, alertness and concentration. Yellow relieves fear, improves memory, and stimulates appetite.
 Violet color stimulates the mind and arose emotions. Violet suppresses the appetite, provides a peaceful environment and is good for patients suffering form migraine.
 Turquoise is a bridging color and combines the cleansing action of green and the soothing action of blue. It is soothing, purifying, and calming. It represents creative communication with yourself.
