Cancer terms:
Carcinoma: A subtype of cancer that develops from tissues covering or lining organs or glands of the body, such as skin, colon, lung, or breast. Most of the cancers are carcinomas. Some cancers that arise from connective tissues like bone are called sarcomas. Cancer arising from the white blood cells are called leukemia. See cancer terms for more cancer related terms.
